Selections Made for "Life in the Bay" Art Show

Thanks to all the people who submitted to "Life in the Bay," ShutterBudd's first art show.

We are very pleased about the amount and quality of photos we have received from the many photographers. All of you have made it a really special experience.

185 submissions were received and from among those, 41 photos were selected to be reviewed as prints. After carefully reviewing all the received prints, we have selected 24 photos to be featured for the October art show. The selections were based on the overall merit of the photo, print quality, appropriateness to the theme "Life in the Bay," and uniqueness. It was tough to choose from all the beautiful photographs since we really liked them all. We are working with the venues to arrange for a November show, so there is a chance that some of the great photos not featured in October could be shown in November.

We have created a special page to introduce all the photos entered the final selections.


The selected photos will be displayed from Oct 1, 2008 - Oct 30, 2008 at the following venues:

The opening reception for the month-long show will be held on October 5, from 1-3pm. We will be making a small announcement at each of the venues to welcome everyone and talk a little about the show: zPizza at 1pm and Sweet Corner at 2pm. Come join us!

ShutterBudd's first photo exhibition was a huge success and we've worked out a deal with Sweet Corner and zpizza to continue showing them through November 2008.  Feel free to take a look at the photos if you missed it in October!  Thanks again for everyone that participated in the show.

Congratulations to those that were selected. That must have been a very difficult selection, as I saw many great photos submitted. I look forward to the next show. Great job everyone!
